古德莱德的教师教育整体更新思想,摆脱对教师专业化和教学知识基础的理论探讨,关注大学环境中教师教育质量提高的制度构建和组织建设。
他提出教师教育改革的19条基本条件具有原则上的意义,但是古德莱德承认,建立“有活力的、连贯一致的、自我更新的”
教师教育的条件并没有出现,要达到真正的系统性的改革也是困难重重。
